REAL BCS appoints a Technical Advisor

REAL is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dr Thomas Aspray to act as Technical Advisor to the Biofertiliser and Compost Certification Schemes. Thomas brings many years’ experience to this role, most recently at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. The specific tasks he will be carrying out for the two schemes include:

• carrying out independent audits of the laboratories appointed to the schemes,
• reviewing various aspects of the laboratories’ performance,
• overviewing the relevant scheme documentation
• analysing data gathered across both schemes
• representing REAL at industry workshops and conferences.
